ABOUT THE FORUM

Welcome to KGS Peace Week

The KGS Peace Institute, based in Baidoa, Southwest State of Somalia, operates in close collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, Local Government, and Reconciliation (Southwest State). It is an independent, non-partisan institute dedicated to advancing peace, dialogue, and good governance through locally-led initiatives. Our work focuses on violence prevention, peace promotion, and conflict transformation, with a strong emphasis on community-owned and culturally adapted approaches. While rooted in Southwest Somalia, the Institute’s reach and relevance extend to wider Somali contexts.
